Umusadege-Ogbe β The Umusadege-Ogbe community in Delta State has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Valiant Energy Company for the construction of a private power turbine that will guarantee uninterrupted electricity supply to the community.
The agreement, sealed at the Umusadege-Ogbe Town Hall, was witnessed by prominent community leaders including High Chief Opia Festus (Community High Chief), Chief Barr. Frances Obigbor (Community Secretary), Chief Dennis Okoh (Public Relations Officer), and Comrade Monday Ododo (Youth President).
Under the terms of the deal, Valiant Energy is expected to deliver the project before April 2026, providing permanent and stable power supply exclusively for Umusadege-Ogbe residents.
Community leaders described the development as βa new dawn,β noting that reliable electricity will bring far-reaching benefits to households, schools, health centers, and local businesses.
Observers say the project will:
Reduce dependence on generators and cut the cost of doing business.
Improve healthcare delivery and education through steady power.
Create job opportunities during construction and operation.
Attract investors and stimulate economic growth in the area.
βThe light has come, and itβs here to stay,β Youth President Comrade Monday Ododo declared, while residents cheered the milestone agreement.
The turbine project is expected to reposition Umusadege-Ogbe as a model community where progress is driven by unity, innovation, and resilience.
